A while ago - about three or four months - the MTM
Community decided to host a Replica Contest: make a
replica of a real-life monster truck for MTM2. Garret
Lockhart had recently been to see the Unnamed & Untamed
monster truck and taken some photos, and he posted them
on the 'net offering anyone who didn't already have a
truck to make to make it (Garret himself had volunteered
to be a judge, and couldn't enter). I took those pics
and held on to them, as I inteded giving it a shot after
completing Flying Falcon '99. As usual time got away on
me, and I only found time to start work on it in late
June.
I intended to make a simple replica, just a quickie
project before I started on another replica. Of course,
I'm so pedantic that I wouldn't settle for "simple".
What came out was one of my best trucks yet!

This truck is practically made entirely by me. I started
with Grave Digger, chopped off the nose, squared up the
roof, reshaped the front and rear and added some fender
flares and side steps. The frame is scratch-built. I
repainted the shocks and suspension arms. Modified and
repainted Karmageddon's axles. Took the shock tops from
Garret's Bigfoot 10 and remapped them to white texture.
Used the green Monster Patrol wheels. The paintjob is
all hand-done (trust me, that red isn't really red, it's
purple, but it shows up as red). I didn't know where the
engine was meant to go, but it didn't look like a
mid-engined truck so I put it in the back. It handles
pretty good, but understeers a tad.

For the Version 1.1 update, this truck scores a custom
.WAV sound file so you can really hear Army call it by
name!
